Posted by SphereEnsemble

Sphere Ensemble is excited to announce their 2018/2019 concert season! For each concert set, we will perform our signature blend of masterpieces of the string orchestra repertoire along with arrangements written by group members of works from various genres, including popular music, jazz, world music, and transcriptions of classical works. Innovative arrangements are written by group members generating a unique and transformative musical experience. Sphere’s debut album, Divergence, was named one of Colorado Public Radio’s Top 20 classical album releases of 2015.

The September concert set includes a performance at the Studios at Overland Crossing on Sunday September 16 at 4pm and a show at the First Congregational Church in Boulder on Saturday September 17 at 7:30. This concert set will feature Dvorak's Serenade for Strings and other pieces including works by Paul McCartney, Phish, Debussy, Satie, and more.

Also, Sphere is proud to announce that beginning this season, we will be giving free performances in marginalized communities across the Front Range! These communities will include Title I schools, homeless shelters, juvenile detention centers, women’s shelters, children’s hospitals, and assisted living and memory care facilities. Sphere is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization with a passion for music and community outreach.
