About me

I'm a junior at Castle View High School. I lived in Denver before moving to Castle Rock in 2012. I'm very involved in theater but I am also member of German Honor Society, GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance), Thespian Honor Society and Link Crew.

My theater experience

I am the stage manager for the Castle View High School theater company. I often describe the job as an "intermediate management position." It's my job to be a sort of link between the directors and the tech crew leads, as well as actors and techies (people who do tech). Stage managers usually record blocking, help all around and keep things organized. During the show they call cues and keep everything going.

I'm involved because I love theater, I love the people, the challenge putting on a show (especially "Les Miserables," which runs Nov. 7 through 11), and the marriage of analytical and creative thinking that theater provides.

My hobbies

I'm a bit of a nerd, and have played a significant amount of D&D, as well as grand strategy video games and some voxel-based video games. I'm also very interested in vexillology, the study of flags.

Looking ahead

I'm a junior, class of 2019. I really don't know what I will do in the future, but I'd like a career in the arts, possibly attending a college for a degree in theater management or technical theater.

My advice

I like to believe everyone has a reason for why they are the way they are. The person being rude in line may have had a bad day, and that's OK. Forgiveness and understanding are important to spreading goodness around the world, which is what I want to do.
