Crowds lined downtown streets in Castle Rock on July 29 for a parade, hosted by the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the town, which celebrated both the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo and the tradition of town parades. Spectators were treated to live martial arts demonstrations and sparring, cheerleading stunts, marching band performances and appearances from officials like Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock and Castle Rock Chief of Police Jack Cauley. Floats tossed out candy, bottled water, beach balls and other prizes to the eventgoers before the event concluded mid-morning.
