I AM RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE BECAUSE:
I am running to bring good governance and integrity back to public service. My top three priorities are public safety, public education and the environment.
I also have three defensive priorities protecting reproductive health rights, gun safety laws, and LGBTQ+ rights. I say “defensive” as I do not know of any new legislation on those issues I would introduce or support. But I will not allow radical extremists, like my opponent, to turn Colorado into a version of East Germany by forcing ten-year-old rape victims to carry a pregnancy to term, threatening the physician who saved that child’s life, introducing bounties so that people can be rewarded by informing upon their fellow citizens to the state and making interstate travel illegal for women.
Nor deprive children in need of family access to outstanding parents simply on the basis of those parents’ sexual orientation/identification. These are not fear-mongering hypotheticals, but actual conduct engaged in, and laws supported, by my opponent’s political colleagues that he supports.
Beyond these policy priorities, I inadvertently became a champion of government anticorruption as I do not intend to let special interests override the public interest. This is shown by my campaign contributions being dominated by individual voters and not special interest organizations.
Because of this, the national good governance anti-corruption organization, RepresentUS, sought me out and asked to endorse me since I do not simply say I am for ethical governance. I live it., i.e., walk the talk.
