Additional businesses in Douglas County may qualify for COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grants through the county’s allocation of Colorado Senate Bill 20B-001 funding, according to a news release from the county. Businesses with more than $2.5 million in annual revenue are now encouraged to apply.

Restaurants, bars, caterers, movie theatres, gyms and recreation centers with a minimum of 20% revenue loss due to COVID-19 impacts and that have not previously applied for this program may be eligible to receive these relief funds, according to the release.

Business owners are invited to review updated eligibility details — available at douglas.co.us/small-business-grant-program — and apply for the expanded Douglas County Small Business Relief Grant program. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. on March 5, 2021, according to the release.

Relief grants will be awarded in amounts up to $3,500, $5,000 or $7,000 based on 2019 sales or revenue, as established in the legislation, and final awards will be determined after all applications have been received.

More details are available by visiting douglas.co.us and searching for “small business grant program” or by emailing DCBusinessGrants@douglas.co.us or calling the county at 303-660-7460.
