Put others first

When did our elected Douglas County state lawmakers become health experts to feel Tri-County Health was wrong in issuing stay-at-home orders prior to the governor’s call? Are they still living in January, when some politicians were not recognizing the virus, saying it was just a flu? Were their egos hurt when they were not asked their opinion first before making the call? Are they afraid their wealthy supporters for reelection would be impacted with stay-at-home and not be able to fill their coffers?

Their call to walk away from Tr-County Health was being irresponsible as an elected official. During these trying times, protocols may not be the norm. Get over yourselves and think about others first!
