Local students receive scholarships

Four Douglas County School District seniors have been awarded scholarships from the Daniels Fund.

The Daniels Fund program provides four-year scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership and a commitment to serving their communities. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, books, supplies and miscellaneous educational expenses not covered by other grants or scholarships.

The scholarship recipients are:

• Peyton Howell, Castle View

• Julea Chappa, Chaparral

• Henley Holland, Legend

• Nicole Railsback, STEM school

Daniels Fund Scholarships may be used at any two- or four-year, nonprofit, accredited college or university in the United States.
