The Pastel Society of Colorado's Mile High National Pastel Exhibition features 80 premier pastel paintings at the Parker Arts, Culture and Events (PACE) Center in Parker from July 12 - August 27, 2018. A festive opening reception will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. July 12 where attendees will be the first to view the winning paintings of the show and have the opportunity to meet some of the artists.
This year two pastel demonstrations will be held in conjunction with the exhibition. At 5 p.m., just prior to the opening reception on July 12, attendees can view a demonstration by master pastelist Marla Baggetta who judges this year's exhibition. This is a unique opportunity to see a nationally renowned pastel artist in action and her approach to pastel painting. For more information on Baggetta, visit www.marlabaggetta.com.
Prominent Denver pastel artist Bruce Gomez will conduct a demonstration from 10 – 11:30 a.m. on July 28 at PACE. Gomez has won numerous awards for his paintings and is both talented and entertaining. As an added bonus, attendees of the demo will have the chance to win his painting. For more information on Gomez, visit www.brucegomez.com.
