Stroller Strides, the country's largest fitness program for new
moms, is celebrating its 1st anniversary in the Castle Rock
"We are thrilled to have provided the moms in the Castle Rock area
with fitness and social support for 1 year," said Estelle Mathis,
owner of Stroller Strides of Castle Rock. "We feel our success
stems from our dedication to helping moms get fit and giving them
an outlet to socialize and have fun."
Since Mathis opened Stroller Strides in October 2010, women in
Castle Rock have been able to get fit through a total fitness
program that lets the moms care for their children at the same
The program includes power walking and intervals of body toning
using exercise tubing and the stroller. Taught by nationally
certified instructors, it's a great workout for any level of
exerciser. In 60 minutes, you will get a total body workout
improving your cardiovascular endurance, your strength and your
flexibility. The classes are equally beneficial for babies as
instructors will weave songs through the workout and incorporate
activities to make it fun.
In recognition of the anniversary, Stroller Strides of Castle Rock
is having a big anniversary celebration Oct. 10 at the Douglas
County Fairgrounds that is open to all moms in Castle Rock and the
surrounding areas. There will be a free Stroller Strides workout
class for everyone from 9:15-10:15 a.m., followed by a party with
refreshments, giveaways for all attendees, great raffle prizes,
huge membership discounts, great mom-focused vendors, and fun
events for kids including miniature horses and a free tumbling play
session with Tumble Boogie mobile gymnastics studio. This is a
great way to see what Stroller Strides is all about.
"It's exciting to be able to offer moms a means of enjoyment and
fitness," said Mathis.
