Just three months into the year and it’s already a busy one for Douglas County and Colorado. Between the legislative session, increasing costs of living, continuing conversations on growth and a likely school funding ask, there’s no shortage of issues to write about.
So I’m turning again to Colorado Community Media readers to ask what you would like to know more about or think deserves more attention from your local newspaper. After two successful community discussions in January, I’m hosting more coffee chat sessions in Castle Rock and Highlands Ranch this April.
As the reporter covering Castle Rock and the Douglas County School District, I’m looking to connect with readers, not only to hear their ideas for local stories, but also to answer questions about coverage and get to know the community.
Please join me for coffee or tea from 9:30-11:30 a.m. April 24 at Castle Rock Collective, 207 Perry Street or in Highlands Ranch, from 1-3 p.m. April 26 at Festive Cup Coffee and Gift Boutique, 50 Springer Drive, Highlands Ranch.
If you’re unable to meet during those times, feel free to email me at mharford@coloradocommunitymedia.com.
